The Postgraduate Coordinator (PGC) is an experienced member of the academic staff of the School competent to act as the Head of School’s delegate in making academic, administrative and (in some instances) resource decisions across the range of disciplines covered by the School.

The PGC advises the Head of School on all HDR matters. In addition, the PGC is a member of the School Research Committee, which will typically have responsibility for reviewing the School’s postgraduate profile, formulating School HDR policy, establishing appropriate procedures for monitoring HDR students’ progress, and advising on facilities and appropriate levels of resources.

Postgraduate Administrative Officer (PGAO)

The Postgraduate Administrative Officer (PGAO) is a designated member of general staff tasked with providing administrative assistance to the PGC. The PGAO is usually the first point of contact for administrative communications from the Graduate School and may also be the first point of contact for some external enquiries about HDR opportunities in the School. The PGAO can also assist you with your applications for School Research Grant Funding and any general enquiries you may have about your studies.
