Indigenous Health workshop UQ School of Architecture
Alex Bond from UQ's Institute of Social Science Research discusses a recent hospital design with architect Dr Stephen Long from Architectus.

A symposium was held at the School of Architecture to introduce a research project on hospitals and clinics and how architecture might affect the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander users. Funded by the Australian Research Council, the project will use different research methods to study perceptions and experiences of health clinics and hospitals in both remote to urban areas. Prof. Paul Memmott and Dr Tim O’Rourke were joined by research team members from the Institute of Social Science Research, Dr Bernie Baffour and Sue York, to outline the project to Indigenous health organizations, researchers, and architects. Dr Stephen Long (Architectus), Yee Ng (Conrad Gargett) and Prof. Jon Willis (UQ Poche Centre) presented at the symposium.
