In August, students, staff and leaders within Brisbane’s design community will sleep without shelter on one of the coldest nights of the year to help change the lives of South East Queensland women at risk of homelessness. 

Aiming for a record $25,000 in fundraising, the University of Queensland School of Architecture is hoping to not only raise awareness but also much needed funds to help break the cycle of homelessness and poverty in Brisbane. Funds from the 2018 Winter Sleepout will support a new initiative developed by Second Chance Programme and Churches of Christ to support young women transitioning from state care that will allow them to establish stable and secure homes.
