This panel looks at the role of archives in the production of architectural historiography. Speakers will examine the role archives play in their own research, the challenges they present, and the consequences they have for the work they produce. The panel also seeks to unpack issues facing the archive and archival research in the 21st century, including the types of materials collected (the types of stories we want to tell), the global shift in collection policies, research funding and archival access, and digitisation.

Speakers for this session include: Dr Nicole Sully, Ms Elizabeth Musgrave, Dr Andrew Wilson and Dr Manu Sobti. The panel will be chaired by Dr Deborah van der Plaat.
